What We Do
Driving Confidence, One Lesson at a Time
Ashford Driving Academy was founded by David Moore, a dedicated and experienced driving instructor with a passion for helping people become safe, confident drivers for life. Having worked alongside some of the best in the industry — including his early days with Graham Hooper, now Head of Training at the DIA — David gained invaluable experience before choosing to branch out and establish his own school based on quality, care, and results.
From the beginning, Ashford Driving Academy was built on a simple but powerful belief: learning to drive should be personal, supportive, and inclusive. Too often, learners are rushed through lessons or left feeling anxious and unsupported. David saw a need for something better — a driving school that not only prepares students for the test but also equips them with the real-world skills and confidence they need for a lifetime of safe driving.
What started as a one-instructor operation has grown into a respected local driving school, known for its high pass rates, friendly and structured teaching style, and a genuine commitment to every student’s progress. Whether you’re a first-time learner, someone who’s had a negative experience elsewhere, or you're simply looking for more patient instruction, Ashford Driving Academy is here to help.
